The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), weekend, congratulated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu over his victory at Supreme Court, which it noted would enable him to focus in providing good governance to the country.
The National President of APGA, Barr. Sly Ezeokenwa, who stated this while interacting with members of Anambra State Council of Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) in Awka, averred that Tinubu’s administration started well and would reposition the country if he implements up to 50 % of his campaign promises and policies.
Ezeokenwa also urged the candidates of Labour Party (LP), Mr Peter Obi and his People’s Democratic Party (PDP) counterpart, Atiku Abubakar, to join hands with the President to develop Nigeria if they truly love the country.
“I congratulate President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on his victory at the Supreme Court. It is a confirmation and testament that he won the election convincingly. I congratulate the Labour Party and PDP candidates for the courage to contend the election up to Supreme Court level.
“Now Tinubu’s victory has been confirmed, I want to charge the duo and all Nigerians to support him to move Nigeria forward. If the President can implement up to 50 per cent of his policies and campaign promises, the nation will witness rapid transformation. So I urge him to urgently proffer solution to all our problems as soon as possible,” he stated.
On subsidy, Barr. Ezeokenwa charged the President to probe the subsidy regime and prosecute the beneficiaries accordingly, while also devising good mechanism towards cushioning the effects of its removal on the country.
