TADI hails Sidi appointment

A group, Transparency Advocacy for Development Initiate (TADI) has commended Ogun state governor, Dapo Abiodun  for the appointment of Professor Sidi Osho, as commissioner  for education in the state.

The group said her appointment is a testimony to the state government’s desire to improve the state’s education sector, adding that those opposed to her appointment are only intimidated by her excellent qualities.

Addressing journalists in Abuja Tuesday, TADI executive director, Ambassador Yomi David, said the only flimsy criticism against her was her intimidating profile to be appointed the commissioner of education in Ogun state.

He said  her unlawful sack as a lecturer at OOU which she appealed and later commuted to retirement because of her fast rising profile, amazonic gestures and leadership qualities was  despised by her detractors and agents of feudal pasts.

“Sequel to her outstanding contribution to the entire intelligentsia community with desirous and pragmatic intent to do more in the education sector if given the decorum to serve the people unflinchingly, we are constrained to air our bold and resolute opinion on the nomination and appointment of Professor Sidi Osho as the commissioner for education in Ogun state being contested and downplayed by retrogressive elements and antagonists of good governance.”
