Social media users have reacted as Afrobeats star, Rema walked off stage over displeasure with venue of music show in America.
The Jonzing World/Mavin artist left fans stranded and in awe when he left the stage citing ‘hot room temperature’ as the reason.
Rema who was to sing at the show, was seen in a trending video putting on a black hoodie and black trousers when he left the stage.
He argued that the hall was too hot for his fans and that the organisers disrespected him and his fans for not making proper arrangements to accommodate ventilation.
“Afrobeats is too big to move like this, I don’t take any rubbish, I respect my fans. They have disrespected me and disrespected Afrobeats by treating you guys like this,” said Rema as he dropped the microphone without performing.
Fans have however taken to social media to express their opinions.
While reacting to the singer’s claim, Supernovajen said, “He should have taken off his jacket,” said a Twitter user with the profile name.
Chibuzor Dein said, “See as Nigeria is standing up for whats hers. The other wanna bees are busy claiming ownership of afrobeat, I love the part where he said they’ve disrespected afrobeat by treating you guys like this. Afrobeat looking out for her fans. Naija power.”
