Deputy Governor of Kogi state, Elder Simon Achuba, has charged the people of the state, particularly those at the grassroots, to always protect and guard jealously any projects provided by the government to improve their living standard. Achuba, who gave the charge in Lokoja while commissioning and distributing six referral vehicles to some comprehensive health centres in the state, said Governor Yahaya Bello’s administration had provided free medical services to the rural areas in addition to the supply of health facilities across the three senatorial districts, urging the people to protect and guard against vandalism of the facilities.

While commending the Special Adviser to the governor of the state on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Arch. Abdulmumuni Okara for the procurement of six ambulances for local government hospitals, the deputy governor assured that government will address the challenges in the health sector in order to provide quality health service to the people of the state. In his speech, the Special Adviser in charge of SDGs said the distribution of ambulances to hospitals in the state was initiated by the governor to improve the overall healthcare delivering system in the state.
