An Octogenarian man, Rafiu Abimbola (85), has been held by Osun state police command for allegedly impregnate a 12-year-old girl.
The girl was said to have led her mother to the police station where she confessed that the old man had sexual intercourse with her sometimes in September 2020.
The incident, it was gathered, happened at Oba compound, Isundunrin, via Ejigbo.
The girl confessed that the intercourse had resulted to pregnancy.
It was gathered that the mother of the girl reported the case to the police and the suspect was arrested.
The Osun Police Public Relations Officer, SP Yemisi Opalola, confirmed the incident.
The police hinted that the suspect has been arrested and investigation has commenced.
According to the police, the girl has been taken to the hospital for pregnancy test.
