NYSC speaks on ‘deployment of 2024 Batch ‘A’ Stream 2′

The management of National Youth Service Corps (NYSC)  weekend said its attention has been drawn to a fake and misleading information trending online over the deployment of the 2024 Batch ‘A’ Stream Two (2) Prospective Corps Members from the Eastern, Southern and Western parts of the country to the North-West.

It said the purported letter did not emanate from the management of NYSC.

A statement made available to Blueprint by the director of Press, and Public Relations, Eddy Megwa, said the NYSC is an organisation backed up by the constitution with its statutory and unbiased deployment policy without tribal, religious and other sentiments.

“This we have successfully done in the past 50 years of its existence,” it said.

The statement advised parents, guardians, prospective corps members and other members of the public to disregard the information which lacks merit and meant to raise apprehension among the prospective corps members for the next orientation exercise slated for April, 2024.

“NYSC management restates its strong commitment to the security and welfare of corps members and the scheme will continue to sustain the existing deployment policy of prospective corps members for the benefit of all members of the service corps and also aid national unity and development without prejudice,” it said.
