Investors yesterday traded a total of 257.555 million shares valued at N3.529 billion in 5407 deals. This is against 434.922 million shares worth N6.913 billion exchanged hands the previous day in 7029 deals.
The Nigerian Stock Exchange trading result showed that the two key market indicators appreciated by 0.10 per cent.
Specifically, Market Capitalisation of listed equities increased by N18 billion to N18.184 trillion from N18.166 trillion reported the previous day.
The NSE All Share Index also appreciated by 34.00 basis points to 34803.00 from 34769.00 reported on Wednesday.
A review of the transactions showed that Mobil Oil led gainers table led gainers table during the day, gaining N18.80 kobo to close at N208.80 kobo, Guinness Nigeria PLC followed with a gain of N1.30 kobo to close at N19.30 kobo, Guaranty Trust Bank added N0.90 kobo to close at N35.40 kobo, Cadbury Nigeria PLC added N0.80 kobo to close at N9.60 kobo while International Breweries up by N0.63 kobo to close at N7.18 kobo.
