NDE trains 25 Kogi youth on solar power installation, maintenance 






The National Directorate of Employment (NDE) has commenced the training of 25 youth on power installation and maintenance in Kogi state.

Speaking at the flag off/orientation ceremony in Lokoja, Tuesday,  Kogi state coordinator of NDE, Mallam Abubakar Zakari , said the effort was aimed at making the beneficiaries become self-reliant and employers of labour in the nearest future.

Zakari said the five -day workshop was organised in partnership with the Abuja Graduate School for the participants drawn across the 21 local government areas of the state.

“This training is the second batch designed for last for at year and I urge all beneficiaries to see it as rare privilege to put in their best as it will go a long way in enabling them acquire knowledge that will make them succeed in becoming self-employed,” he said.

The resource person, Engr. Awusa Samson in his speech, said the training would also offer the participants the opportunity to be employers of labour so as to contribute their quota towards the improvement of power supply within their immediate society.

The Head of Special Public Works Department, Toyin Ajibade, charged the beneficiaries to make judicious use of the training to better their lives.
