NBA honours LP chair, Abure, in Edo 

The Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Benin Bar, has honoured the national chairman of  Labour Party (LP), Comrade Julius Abure, for his “immense contribution to the advancement of humanity.”

Abure was honoured during the 2023 NBA award ceremony held weekend in Benin City, Edo state.

The Chief Judge of Edo state, Justice Daniel Iyobosa Okungbowa,  who presented the award to Comrade Abure said the recipient’s contribution to Nigeria’s democracy should be emulated by all.

Justice Okungbowa added: “We are proud that one of us, Barrister Julius Abure, is at the forefront of repositioning the ship of the nation. 

“The legal profession is blessed by having him amongst us. And with this well-deserved award, we have no doubt you will be encouraged to do more for the country,” he stated. 

On his part, Abure dedicated the award to the “youth and millions of Nigerians who are desirous of a believable and enviable Nigeria.”

He said: “It is generally believed that the numerous challenges of our country emanated from poor leadership and I am sure that was what prompted the Obidient Movement for a new struggle for a new Nigeria.

“I therefore dedicate this award to millions of Nigerians who are desirous of a leadership that will have the courage to fight poverty, hunger, unemployment and be passionate about the welfare and wellbeing of the people.”
