Military advises NURTW, Churches, Mosque 0n surveillance

Theatre Commander of the Operation Zaman Lafiya Dole (Peace is a Must) in the north east, Major General  Yushe’u Madhud Abubakar, has said that over 200 Boko Haram terrorists group on Eid -El – Kabir surrendered to military troops of the 7 Division, Nigerian Army Maiduguri, following the offensive  that took place in Banki communities.
Abubakar also appealed to the public to be security conscious always and ensure that they play their role in the fight against the elimination of Boko Haram insurgency pointing out that, here in Nigeria, terrorism is an operation that required collective responsibility and support.
He noted also that without the support and cooperation of the people, the military efforts to end the insurgency May be threatened or jeopardised.

The Theatre Commander further urged all the markets operators, Mosques, Churches, schools, motor parks and other business environment to adopt the use of private security or engage youths to assist in tracking down criminals and insurgents as well monitor their environs to serve as checks to the security challenges.
He said in Mosques and Churches, people should be encouraged to guard their Premises stressing that security is the job of everybody not the military and police alone or government.
Abubakar also assured that the Presidential directive and target of three months to end the insurgency will surely be achieved pointing out that a lot of achievements have been made so far with the renowned efforts and zeal of the military since he assured Office in August this year.
He also appealed to the media as partners in progress to synergise with the Nigerian Army to end the Boko Haram.
