MASSOB’s threat won’t stop Ganduje’s award – Monarch

Chairman of Abia State council of traditional rulers, Eze Eberechi Dick has said the threat by Movement of the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB) would not stop him from giving the chieftaincy title slated for today in his palace to Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje of Kano state.
MASSOB had on Monday through its National Director of Information, Edeson Samuel, warned Ganduje not to visit Aba for a chieftaincy title planned by Eze Dick, stressing that Ganduje does not deserve to receive such traditional title because of his gross disrespect and venom for Ndigbo.
According to the pro Biafra group, “MASSOB and the entire people of Biafra will never allow Ganduje to step into Aba, or the palace of Eze Eberechi Dick for the traditional chieftaincy title.
We shall declare and treat the monarch as a major Biafra saboteur, if he goes ahead in the planned conferment of the traditional chieftaincy title.” Reacting, the monarch dismissed MASSOB as people seeking for relevance and said their threat would not in any way stop him from giving the Chieftaincy title to the governo He said the chieftaincy title to the governor which will attract the presence of the Emir of Kano would go ahead as planned and no group by whatever name called would stop it.
He said it was the Igbo in Kano that demanded for the chieftaincy title to be given the governor as a way of thanking him for the manner he has been putting measures in place to protect lives and property of Ndigbo in Kano, particularly during the IPOB crisis which could not allow for reprisal attacks.
According to Eze Dick, “It is the desire of Ndigbo living in Kano that chieftaincy title be given to Gov.
Ganduje for the way he has been protecting lives and property of Ndigbo in Kano.
That they have nothing to thank him with than to invite him to Igbo land to be giving a chieftaincy title, it is a sorts of reward to the governor for what he has been doing for the Igbo, in South East
