Like Adeosun like Shittu?

In the past few weeks, the Nigerian political space has been heated up by unending tales of dramas.
From the rejection of Ambode by the ‘gods’ of Lagos, the suspension of Nigerian Air, to the unfolding multi- faceted certificate scandals that has refuse to go away.
Trust Naija, there are still many to come.
This however shows that Nigeria is indeed a play with so much unexplainable suspense, ironies, paradoxical plots, unimaginable scenes and ‘A list’ characters that can hold their ground not in Nollyhood, Boullyhood nor Hollywood but definitely in ‘politicshood’ .
Less than one week after Kemi Adeosun, former minister of finance dishonourably resigned from office, another Buhari minister, Adebayo Shittu is enmeshed in a certificate scandal.
Interestingly, both ministers are hunted by the ruthless ‘under the rain or in the sun’ (NYSC) certificate.
While Shittu has admitted that he did not participate in the one year compulsory service because according to him, he deliberatively skipped the NYSC scheme because he was convinced that his membership of the state assembly was itself a “service”, Adeosun on the other hand used ‘grammar’ and her ‘Oyibo’ accent to confuse the entire nation and escape to London including our ‘intelligent’ community who are currently chasing a ‘rat’ in the bush (senator Adeleke) and turning a blind eye to the ‘rat’ in the house (Okon Obla) for allegedly committing similar offence offence.
It will be recalled that, Mr.
President spent solid six months before choosing his Ministers.
This national shame has revealed to us that Mr.
President did not do his home work well before forming his kitchen cabinet.
Also, the entire scandals have revealed to us that the National Assembly’s routine screening is just a charade.
Lastly, even the Directorate of State Services was unable to detect the mess in their files.
This shows that we are in a clear national danger.
The issue before us is beyond the fake NYSC certificate, it is deeper than that.
We are too naked as a nation! In Nigeria, one thing is clear. It is easier for a poor man’s fake certificate to be identified than for that of a rich man’s own to be recognized.
We have built a system that looks the other way each time the rich man does anything wrong and quickly sends to jail the poor when he commits the same offence.
It is an unfair and unjust system that cannot deliver the Nigeria of our dreams.
As the certificate scandals rages, Nigerians first desire to know those who cleared them before serving as ‘ whatever’ in their various states.
They are as guilty as Mrs.
Adeosun and Mr Shittu.
Entertainingly, the whole world knows those who cleared them in the National Assembly.
Also, they are as guilty.
Nigeria is indeed a home to so many absurdities, just like a friend once told me, he said “if you continue to use critical mind and analytical mind to reason things that happen in Nigeria you will just commit suicide out of frustration.
To survive in Nigeria, just reason everything with a comical mind”.
