Leke James bags degree in UK

Nigerian football star, Leke James, has added another impressive feat to his collection, graduating with a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Business and Sports Management from the University of Hertfordshire, United Kingdom.

The 31-year-old striker, currently a free agent after a successful spell with Turkish club Sivasspor, said the latest accomplishment doesn’t signal his retirement from playing.

Instead, James views it as a strategic move to equip himself for the future, ideally within the football industry.

He said, “Bagging a degree does not mean I am retiring from my playing career in football, I am just preparing myself for the future.”

James emphasised, “I would love to work within the football sector as I have no intention whatsoever of leaving after playing.”

James, known for his exceptional goalscoring record across Europe, Asia, and the Middle East, has left his mark at clubs like Molde FK and Aalesunds FK in Norway.

Now, armed with both his on-field talent and academic qualification, James appears well-positioned to make a lasting impact, whether it’s with his next club or within the broader footballing landscape.
