Lawmaker condemns attack on Ambe community in Kaduna 

 

 A member of the House of Representatives representing Jema’a/Sanga federal constituency,  Kaduna state, Hon Daniel Amos, has condemned the brutal attack by some bandits on the peaceful community of Ambe in Arak chiefdom of Sanga local government area.

The attack claimed the lives of six persons with eight others sustaining various degree of injuries. All the victims of the attack have been taken to Federal Medical Centre, Keffi, Nasarawa state, for treatment.

In a statement issued by Hon. Amos, he said: “I am completely saddened and devastated on hearing the news of the late night attack on the peaceful community of Ambe in Arak chiefdom of Sanga local government area of Kaduna state.

“Reports reaching me indicate that the brutal attack by the suspected bandits claimed the lives of six innocent people, while eight others sustained various degree of injuries and they have been rushed to Federal Medical Centre, Keffi, in Nasarawa state, for treatment.

“I strongly condemn this heinous act in its entirety which is another attempt to disorganise the peaceful nature and security of my constituency.”

Hon Amos urged the residents of Sanga local government area to be calm and continue to be peaceful in the face of these unprovoked attacks, adding that efforts are afoot to find lasting solution to the issues of insecurity bedeviling the area.

“As your representative in the National Assembly, I assure you that I will continue to do my best to ensure your safety at all times by working with relevant stakeholders, including attracting more developmental projects to our constituency.”
