Kogi APC dissolves wards, council executives in Igalamela- Odolu LGA

Kogi state chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has dissolved the executive members of the party in Igalamela – Odolu local government area for alleged anti-party activities and financial inducement.

The dissolution of the executives at both wards and local government level was contained in a statement signed by the State Secretary of the party, Mr Emmanuel Joshua, which was made available to newsmen in Lokoja on Saturday.

According to the statement, the dissolution was at the instance of a report received by the state chapter of the party for an alleged gross violation of the constitution of the party by the executives who are supposed to be the custodian of the sanctity of the party’s constitution.

The statement said their actions which bothered on anti-party activities and financial inducement were perpetrated to  weaken the party, noting that the alleged offenses have been  established against them and the  executives of the party are under intensive  investigation.

“Allegations of anti-party activities and financial inducement to weaken the party have been established as some executives of the party are under very serious investigation.

“To this end, the entire executives of the party in/Igalamela- Odolu from the wards to the local government level is hereby dissolved,” the statement said.

The statement further stated that Caretaker committee will be immediately set up to run the affairs of the party, pending full report of the investigating committee.
