Kano state Servicom Directorate will soon take action on workers with the habit of reporting late and closing before working hours at all government ministries, agencies and local government areas in the state.
Permanent secretary of the Directorate, Alhaji Mahamoud Bello Bari, disclosed this during an unscheduled visit to Kano state Pilgrims Welfare Board, Tourism Board and some local government areas of the state.
He said the administration of Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje would not tolerate “unpatriotic attitude of some government workers of not coming to office at the appropriate time and closing before the working hours.”

Bari commended the management and staff of Kano state Pilgrims Welfare Board for reporting to office early, despite the recent completion of Hajj operation and directed it to write a commendation letter to the Board for the effective service delivery.
At the Kano state Tourism Board, Bari expressed dissatisfaction over the poor turnout of the staff, adding that the government “will soon commence action on the nonchalant attitude of some government workers who come to office late and close before the end of working hours.”
He, therefore, advised them to cooperate with present administration’s commitment towards service delivery, adding that the administration of Ganduje “is doing its best towards settling workers’ salaries and wages promptly.”
Bari, who was accompanied by Directors and Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Servicom, Alhaji Dikko Madaki Fulatan, reminded workers on their official responsibilities.
