Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa state flanked by his zamfara state counter part Muhammed Bello Mutawalle has commissioned over 340 kilometers of rural roads aimed at bringing succour to rural communities.
The road projects which cut across the 21 local governments areas in the state is a joint project between Adamawa state government, world bank and and French Development Agency (FDA) under the federal government Rural Access and Mobility Project (RAMP-2).
Speaking at the event which took place in kuva Gaya in Hong local government area governor Fintiri renewed his administration commitments to bring succour to the people of the state especially for those living in the rural areas.
He said it was inline with his commitments that he wasted no time in paying the state counter part funds which led to immidiate take off of the projects in the state.
He assured that all projects embarked upon by his administration since he came on board would be completed before the end of his first term in office.
Fintiri further commended the world bank, french development agency and other stakeholders for partnering with the state government to ensure the execution of the projects and promised to work with them and other development partners to deliver dividents of democracy to the people of the state.
Also speaking, the special guest of honour at the event governor Bello Matawalle of Zamfara state commended Fintiri for his developmental strides in most sectors of the state.
He urged the governor to remain focused and keep on the good work of moving the state forward.
Matawalle urged him not to bother with unwarranted attacks and critism by the opposition “and those who did not wish the state well. The people of Adamawa are happy with his administration and lucky to have him as governor
