The Ifeanyi Onukwubiri Care Foundation (IOF) on Wednesday supported comic actor, Osinachi Dike, popularly known as Apama, in paying the school fees of several students at Imo State University (IMSU) in Owerri, the state capital.
The founder of the Foundation, Ifeanyi Onukwubiri, said he was moved by the actor’s humane disposition towards the benefiting students, hence its decision to assist in empowering them.
Onukwubiri, who owns TMT Travel and Tours Limited, noted that the current economic hardship in Nigeria calls for everyone to support those struggling with life’s challenges.
He urged other well-meaning Nigerians to support the comic actor’s efforts, adding that the Foundation would continue to back initiatives that promote discipline and dedication among students.
He said, “I am happy with what Apama is doing by helping students pay their school fees, buy textbooks, and cover hostel fees. His tour of campuses in Imo state, where he identifies and supports average students, is commendable. That is why the Ifeanyi Onukwubiri Care Foundation has supported him to assist more students in the project.
“Economically, these are not the best of times for average families. Many students are going through a lot. That is why the Ifeanyi Onukwubiri Care Foundation is very pleased with what Apama is doing. Other actors and well-to-do families should emulate his kind gesture to humanity.
“Every act of kindness toward those in need is commendable. As a responsible organization, the Ifeanyi Onukwubiri Care Foundation is committed to genuinely helping people. We have been doing this for years and will continue to provide a platform where the hopeless can find hope.”
Blueprint reports that the comic actor had visited Alvan Ikoku Federal University of Education in Owerri and Imo state University and will visit other high institutions in the state in the coming days in tour of campuses in the state to support students from poor backgrounds.
