IKpeazu congratulates Ihedioha on tribunal victory

The governor of Abia state, Okezie IKpeazu, has commended his colleague governor, Rt Hon Emeka Ihedioha, on the reaffirmation of his victory at election petition tribunal sitting in Owerri, the capital of Imo state.

Governor Ikpeazu, who described Governor Ihedioha as “my brother and bosom friend”, stated that his judicial victory is a clear sign that indeed, the good people of Imo state spoke with a voice that was loud and unmistakable.

In a Press statement issued and signed by the Chief Press Secretary, Barr Onyebuchi Ememanka, a day after his own election was reaffirmed by the judiciary, Ikpeazu described it as beyond mere coincidence.

Instead, he said it was a confirmation that the people of the two states have a common destiny strengthened by common historical and ancestral ties.

Ikpeazu assured Ihedioha that the excellent and brotherly relations between them will become even more strengthened now for the good of the people of the two sister states.

He also told the governor to remain focused on his developmental agenda for his people and like him, bear no grudges against those who challenged his mandate but to open his doors and embrace them for the overall peace, order and good government of the people of Imo state.

Governor Ikpeazu also rejoiced with the entire people of Imo state, saying their collective choice for Governor Emeka Ihedioha has received confirmation from the judiciary.
