Health care: Zamfara to construct 147 health centers

Zamfara State government has reiterated its plan to construct 147 additional modern primary health centres across the State, the Director General Media,Public Enlightenment and Communication Yusuf Idris has said in a statement made available to Newsmen in Gusau the state capital Monday.

According to him,  Governor Bello Mohammed Matawallen Maradun made stated this when he received five (5) Councillors of Gusau local government who defected from APC to PDP at his residence in Gusau. 

The Governor Matawalle explained that all arrangements have been put in place for the commencement of the construction of the 147 Primary Health Centres with the aim of providing adequate health care services to all rural communities in the State. 

He further hinted that the health centres will have the capacity of admitting and treating patients with minor illnesses  so as to reduce the medical hardships faced by rural dwellers in covering long distances in search of  medical attention mostly taking them from the village to urban areas. 

Matawalle added that his administration is determined to improve the living standards of his people at all levels of development and assured the councillors that their constituents will benefit immensely from his administration’s giant strides of development. 

The Governor also assured them of his resolve to take meaningful development to all nooks and crannies of all the 147 wards in the state while calling on the Councillors on the need to support his administration with useful advises as he promised to always leave his doors  open for them. 

Governor Matawalle then expressed his happiness over the councillors’ wise decision to join his party, the PDP from the opposition APC in the State and assured them of equal treatment and opportunity as good and loyal members.

Blueprint recalled that the Councillors who joined the PDP from the opposition APC are Hon. Ibrahim Kogo of Wonaka Ward, Hon.Yahaya Aliyu of Madawaki Ward, Hon Shehu Isah  Popularly known as (Shehu Leda) of Sabon Gari Ward, Hon.Abdulhamid Sani of Ruwan Bore Ward and Hon.Shamsu Umar of Rijiya Ward.
