Forte Oil Plc yesterday led gainers table, at the nation’s capital market growing by N5.70 kobo to close at N169.20 kobo. Mobil Nigeria Plc followed with a gain of N4.87 kobo to close at N124.90 kobo.
Nigerian Breweries also recorded gain of N4.30 kobo to close at N173.50 kobo while Cadbury Nigeria Plc appreciated by N2.89 kobo to close at N73.84 kobo.
Oando Plc advanced by N1.69 kobo to close at N18.28 kobo and Nestle Nigeria Plc improved by N1.02 kobo to close at N1,071.02 kobo.
On the contrary, Betaglass recorded the highest loss for the day, dropping by N0.89 kobo to close at N17.07 kobo, Converton trailed with a loss of N0.82 kobo to close at N7.76 kobo. Other companies that depreciated in price were UAC Property and PZ industries which loss N0.48 kobo and N0.47 kobo respectively to close at N16.57 kobo and N34.83 kobo. Ecobank Transnational Incorporated went down by N0. 16 kobo to close at N15.34 kobo .
The Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE), trading result further showed that market capitalisation of listed equities enhanced by N149 billion or 1.2 per cent to N13.060 trillion from N12.911 recorded on wednesday. Also the NSE All Share Index (ASI) went up by 460.23 basis points to 39563.00 points from 39102.77 traded the previous day.
Transnational Corporation of Nigeria (Transcorp) recorded the highest volume of activities , trading 44.486 million shares worth N164.599 million, Guaranty Trust Bank (GTBank) followed with account of 37.920 million shares valued at N1.043 billion while Learn Africa exchanged 21.900 million shares valued at N39.808 million. FBN Holdings took fourth position,recording a total of 19.298 million shares cost N263.097 million and Wema Bank Plc sold 13.988 million shares worth N13.087 million. In all investors bought 267.776 million shares valued at N3.177 billion in 3937 deals against 852.312 million shares worth N10.224 billion exchanged hand previous day in 4689 deals.
