First class group unveils digital machine, educational books

First Class Printing and Publishing Group Tuesday unveiled for business its new state of the art digital machine and century educational books at an elaborate ceremony in Abuja.

The publishing company reputed for exhibiting its products across the globe showcased at the ceremony some of its publication, which was written in both Hausa and English languages.

Speaking at the unveiling ceremony, the special guest of honour and the Emir of Kano, His Highness Aminu Ado Bayero praised the company for the feat attained in the publishing business and its love for children and their educational pursuit over the years.

While enjoining the company to expand its tentacles across the country, the emir lauded the President Muhammadu Buhari government policy which he said has helped businesses and entrepreneurships to thrive.

In a short remark, the Special Adviser Media, Publicity to the President, Mr Femi Adesina noted that anything that will promote entrepreneurship, boost the economy and overall development was good for the country.

According to Adesina, the unveiling will bring positive development to both economy and education, enjoining other entrepreneurs to key and tap into many initiatives of the federal government to move the nation forward.

“I think youth can take a cue from this initiative and make Nigeria a better place,” Adesina added.

For Dr. Badamasi Shaibu Burji, Managing Director/ CEO of the company, education according to him was apriority.

He said, “Education is my priority in life, I built primary schools with over 5,000 children benefitting free of charge including books and uniforms,”

“Youth, women and girl-child are our priority and I am bold to tell you that well-meaning Nigerians including former President Olusegun Obasanjo have applauded our initiative.”

According to Burji, the arrays of books published by the company were written by professionals and have been accredited by appropriate authorities in the country.

The MD then enjoined others to emulate the company in order to enhance quality education amongst children and youth in the country.

Also speaking, the group chairman and a former commissioner for Commerce in Kano State, Alhaji Ahmad Rabiu, commended the initiative , saying the modern printing equipment would not only promote reading culture but will also provide more jobs for the teeming youth in the country.

“The books from this company have been duly certified and accredited for usage in Nigerian schools which for me is something to be proud of being the first of its kind in the country.”
