FCTA to hold retreat on challenges of land administration

To address the challenges facing land administration in the territorry, the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) has disclosed that the administration would organise a 4-day retreat for stakeholders.

Director Abuja Geographical Information System (AGIS) Dr. Isa Jalo, who also doubles as the Chairman, Organising Committee of the event Wednesday, made the disclosure in Abuja.

He revealed that the retreat, which will commence Thursday would focus on how to iron out some grey areas around legal procedures of land use in the FCT.

Jalo said the retreat would be organised by the FCT Legal Services Secretariat in conjunction with the AGIS and the Department of Land Administration.

“It is to highlight and iron out some grey areas as it concerns legal issues on land administration in Abuja,’’ he said.

He further said that Departments and Agencies including some security organisations would brainstorm during the four days on topical issues.

According to him, among those to participate in the event are the Nigeria Police Force, Department of State Security, ICPC, EFCC among others.
