El-Rufai’s son wins Kaduna North Reps seat 

Governor Nasir el-Rufai’s son, Muhammad Bello el-Rufai of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has won the Kaduna North Federal Constituency seat with 51,052 votes.

Bello defeated incumbent member representing Kaduna North, Malam Suleiman Samaila of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), who scored 34,808 votes, Malam Aliyu Mohammed Ahmad of NNPP scored 10,148 and Shehu Mohammed Faisal of Labour Party (LP) scored 7,531 votes.

The returning officer for House of Representatives elections Kaduna North, Prof. Mohammed Magaji Garba of Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, while announcing the results at the Magajin Gari Collation Center in Kaduna on Monday, said “el-Rufai Mohammed Bello having satisfied the requirements of the law, is hereby declared winner and returned elected”.

The returning officer said the constituency had 369,428  registered voters, while 110,269 voters were accredited for the election and 106,073 valid votes were cast.
