Edo train attack: Kidnappers make huge demands

The Kidnappers of the Igueben train station Edo state attack are currently demanding N20 million for each victim.

This was disclosed by the executive director, Esan Youth for Good Governance and Social Justice, Benson Odia.

He said the demand was absurd.

Odia then called on the authorities to intensify efforts in rescuing the abducted persons that are still being held captive by their abductors.

He said, “I can tell you that the kidnappers have demanded N20 million, totalling N620 million. This is absurd and I don’t know where poor people will be able to raise that amount of money.”

Blueprint earlier reported that the Edo state government said six victims, out of the 31 kidnapped victims had been rescued on Monday January 9, 2023.
