Edo: Oshiomhole’s ally escapes assassination

A leading member of the Edo Peoples Movement (EPM), a splinter group of Edo State All Progressives Congress (APC), Barrister Henry Idahagbon, Thursday survived assassination attempt on his life.

Gunmen suspected to be assassins reportedly stormed Idahagbon’s office on 52b Siluko road in Benin City, the state capital and fired repeated shots into the building housing the office.

The hoodlums who were said to have come in Hilux vans with AK-47 guns also attacked a nearby restaurant and destroyed some  properties.

A visit to the area showed that the walls and windows of the office  building were riddled with bullets.
