As the race for the Edo governorship battle hots up, a frontline aspirant and popular politician, Earl Osaro Onaiwu has purchased and submitted his nomination form for the much anticipated contest.
The form was purchased for N35 million at the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) headquarters in Abuja by Onaiwu’s friends, including some former PDP Governors.
While fielding questions from newsmen, Onaiwu said: “With the support i have garnered over the time, i would not only be successful but will also emerge victorious in the coming primary election,”
Although the next crucial step for Onaiwu is the screening process to assess his suitability and qualifications as to whether or not he and other aspirants meet party criteria for the governorship race, his entrance according to a party source has added buzz into the political scene.
Meanwhile, the exercise has been scheduled to take place on Monday, in Abuja.
