Drogba: Chelsea will always be my number one club

Ivory Coast legend Didier Drogba said in reaction to Chelsea winning the English Premier League that The Blues will always be his number one club.
Drogba has been strongly linked with a summer move to the MLS, but he says that he is only thinking about rest and celebration.
Chelsea went into the game against Crystal Palace n the weekend needing three points to become champions with three games to spare. Star midfielder Eden Hazard headed in the winning goal to secure Chelsea’s first league title in five years.
“This one is sweet. Chelsea will always be my number one club,” the 37-year-old told reporters.
“It’s my third time to win it in front of the fans and it’s amazing. What next? A good rest and a good celebration!”
Drogba has scored four league goals since his return to London in the summer. One of those goals came against Leicester City as recently as last Wednesday.
Meanwhile  Chelsea captain John Terry has spoken highly of Drogba and believes he should be given a new contract come end of the season.
The Ivorian superstar has had to be content with being a bit-part player since his return to Stamford Bridge in the close season, thanks largely to the form of Spanish star Diego Costa in his first campaign in England.

Despite all this, England defender Terry believes that Drogba plays a crucial role not only on the field of play, but outside as well because he is able to lift everyone’s spirit when things don’t look good.

“Didier’s experience [is beneficial] and the way he speaks before the games and after defeats when you’re down and you need an old head to help.

“At times we’ve been worried after defeats and he’s said that it happens and we’ll bounce back and be alright. When you hear that from someone like him, everyone takes it on board,” Terry told reporters.”
