Court lifts Chocolate City’s injunction against Brymo

Brymo has just gotten a relieve winning the first part of his court battle with his former record label Chocolate City.

The Audu Maikori-led label took an injunction against the “Ara” singer, “restraining him from recording, releasing or distributing any musical works pending the determination of the suit against him.”
However, a judge who sat at the Federal High Court, Ikoyi on Monday, March 3, lifted the injunction against the singer.

According to the presiding judge, Justice Buba I.N, Brymo is now free to continue doing music and releasing his materials while the case continues hearing in court. Chocolate City can be compensated at a later period, he revealed.

“Since the plaintiff can be compensated at a later date, the defendant is free to carry out his duties as a singer so that none of the parties will be at a disadvantage.”
March 19 and 20 have been slated for the next hearing of the case.
