Corruption: Attempt to dent DSS DG Bichi’s records dead on arrival – AYF

Convener of Arewa Youth Federation (AYF), a civil society organisation, Comrade Kabiru Mohammed, has condemned malicious corruption allegations levelled against the Director General of the Department of State Services (DSS), Alhaji Yusuf Bichi by one Jackson Ude, saying the blackmail has failed.

Kabiru in a statement issued to pressmen, Tuesday, said “Jackson Ude’s has lived his life over the years blackmailing public office holders, and his effort to make the respected DG DSS, Alhaji Yusuf Bichi his latest victim will not sail.”

Recall that Johnson Ude in his latest blackmail on his X (Twitter) handle accused Alhaji Bichi of refusing to pay personnel of the Service while increasing his severance allowance to hundreds of millions.

“Our findings from highly placed and credible sources in the Service negate completely the false accusations of Jackson. As a matter of fact, information at our disposal indicate that no Director General of the Service before Bichi has catered for staff welfare like he has. Bichi is ahead in staff welfare and motivation,” the AYF convener stated.

According to the statement, “the palliatives package referred to by Jackson in his X (Twitter) post exists only in his thinking and deluded sponsors, same as the accusation of an imagined severance allowance which he accused Bichi of allocating the sum of 200 million to himself. All these allegations are false and intended to malign Bichi.”

Comrade Kabiru condemned the vexatious post, describing it as regrettable and sponsored to blackmail Bichi. He stated that it was a premeditated attempt to paint Bichi and the efforts of the DSS in bad light.

“We are convinced that the eagle eyes of Bichi has prevented the sponsors of Jackson Ude from shortchanging the country; hence the unprovoked attacks on the DG.

Comrade Kabiru called on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Nigerians to discountenance the malicious publication and continue to support the DSS under the leadership of Magaji Bichi for the good of the country.
