Celebrities converge on Abuja for ‘Global Fight Concert’

Nigerian celebrities, including actors, comedians and singers, have converged on Abuja for an entertainment concert, tagged “Celebrity Global Fight Concert”.

The event is scheduled to hold on Saturday at the Congress Hall of Transcorp Hilton Hotel, Abuja, with the celebrities billed to entertain Nigerians in an intriguing fight.

Celebrities participating in the epic fight include MC Bob, Faze, Sir One, MC Franchez, Laide Bakare, Chizzy Alichi, Sllipknot Asuquo, Untouchable Comedy, Rykardo Agbo, King Zina Abig Nwamama, Sarki Dariya, Kelvin Ikeduba, Shortcut, among others.

At a press conference on Friday to herald the event, organizer of the event, Loveth Patra Young, also known as the Nigerian Terminator, said the aim is to bring together everyone in the entertainment industry.

“This is going to be a quarterly event. The fight is for entertainment purposes. No one will be wounded as the aim is to make people laugh. We are happy with the participation and I encourage everyone to come and watch their favourite entertainers fight and laugh,” she said.

On her part, actress Patience Ozokwor, popularly known as Mama G, said the fight is important to show the world that entertainment is one body; whether it is singing, comedy, acting or boxing.

Similarly, actor Kelvin Ikeduba said that the idea is innovative as it will help to promote the entertainment industry.

Highlight of the event was the entertainers weighing themselves in a scale and squaring up against partners, giving a preview of what will be obtainable in the fight.
