CAF Confed Cup: Rivers United walk right rope despite victory over USM Alger

Nigeria’s sole representative in the continent, Rivers United FC of Port Harcourt defeated USM Alger of Algeria by 1-0 in their first leg of their CAF Confederation Cup quarter-final clash at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo on Sunday.

Augustine Ojejepha scored the decisive goal in the 10 minute.

Rivers United wasted several other chances to double their lead in the game.

They now face a massive task in their bid to scale through it to the semi-final of the competition following their slim first leg advantage.
