Bosso urges Manu to start unused players against Australia

President of Nigeria Coaches Association, Ladan Bosso has told Manu Garba to start the unused players who have not tasted actions in their first two matches at the ongoing 2019 FIFA U17 World Cup in Brazil when they face Australia as team has already qualified for the next round.

The former Ifeanyi Ubah FC head coach said resting regular players in the last group match will help Nigeria go far in the tournament.

Speaking on a popular WhatsApp group, Bosso said:  “I want him to rest players and try others and see if there can be other revelations in the team.

The new discoveries can be introduced at the round of 16 and he will have a large pool to pick from.

Any player that have not played in the first two matches should have a feel in the last group match so that we can have pool of players going into the knock out stage, my thought sha.”

Nigeria’s Golden Eaglets have picked one of the Round 16 tickets having won their first two group matches. The five-time world champions defeated Hungary 4-2 in their first match and on Tuesday outscored Ecuador 3-2 to maintain their group B top of the table performance.

Eaglets will face Australia in their last group B match.
