The people of Bogoro local government area of Bauchi state have commended Governor Mohammed Abubakar, noting that though he received less votes from the area in the 2015 general elections, he had executed projects in the area in the past 20 months of his administration.
The Bogoro council chairman, Mr. Jacob Wuya, explained that the credible performance of Governor Mohammed Abubakar in the area include giving appointments into the services of the state government to their sons and daughters.
He, speaking when he received the Democratic Enlightenment Initiative, a non-governmental organisation (NGO), said with such democracy dividends being provided for the people, they had no reason not to vote the Governor for second term in the 2019 elections.

Wuya, who was represented by the vice-chairman, Mr. Kawas Mallaka, pledged the people’s loyalty to the state government led by Governor Abubakar.
He, however, appealed to the state government to reconstruct the Mararraban Dutsen Lawal – Dazara, and Bogoro – Gobbiya – Dul – Burga roads in the local government area, stressing that none of the 19 roads which construction work was recently flagged-off was in Bogoro area.
The council chairman, who described the Governor as “a detribalised Nigerian,” also complained about lack of schools in some communities, while some of the existing ones had been damaged by windstorms.
Wuya also appealed to the state government to reconstruct some roads in Bogoro local government area, and commended the Governor for the construction of healthcare centre and sinking of a borehole in Gimzum village.
Earlier, the DEI chairman, Alhaji Aliyu Ibrahim, had informed Bogoro council members of the need to shun rumour mongers whose intention “is to divide people along tribal, ethnic lines and parochial interests.”
