Balogun tips Eagles for 2nd round

Super Eagles and Fortuna Dusseldorf of Germany defender, Leon Balogun believes the Eagles can progress from Group F of the 2014 World Cup, with Argentina being the favorites.
Leon missed out on Coach Stephen Keshi’s provisional list of 30 players for the World Cup preparations starting with this month’s international friendly with Scotland in London.

“Argentina is probably the biggest name in the group but I  know every team that comes for the World Cup aims to go some length and qualify for the next round so I think we should be confident enough to achieve that”
Leon injured his ankle while making his debut appearance for the national team when the Eagles played  a friendly against  Mexico in Atlanta, USA.
The German-born Nigerian player concluded however that the Eagles should be able to deal with Bosnia and Iran, although the former would be difficult.
