Bafarawa donates N10m, 4 cars to Sokoto PDP

A former governor of Sokoto state, Alhaji Attahiru Dalhatu Bafarawa, yesterday donated N10 million cash and four brand new Peugeot 406 saloon cars to the state chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
The former governor made the donation at a grand reception organised by the state chapter of the party to the newly appointed state caretaker committee.

Speaking at the reception, Bafarawa enjoined the party chieftains, especially the governorship hopefuls, to bury their ambition and work towards the building of a strong PDP first.
Also contributing to the party’s purse, the Deputy Governor of Sokoto state, Alhaji Mukhtari Shagari, donated N1million and a 16-seater bus and pledged to give the caretaker committee N2 million every month to support the committee to carry out his assignment.

He appealed to the prospective aspirant to cooperate and put heads together for the success of the party come 2015 elections.
Also in his contribution, Senator Abubakar Umar Gadadonated N1 million and a Peugeot 406 car and pledged to give the committee N3 million every month.
In their contributions, Senator Abdallah Muhammad Wali, the current Nigerian Ambassador to Morocco, and Alhaji Yusif Suleiman, A former Minister of Transport, donated N1 million each to support the caretaker committee.
