Nigeria boxer inches closer to Paris Olympics 

One of the two remaining Nigerian boxers at the ongoing boxing Olympic qualifiers in Bangkok, Thailand, Zainab Adeshina has inched closer to the Paris 2024 Games.

Yesterday, Zainab put up a flawless performance to dismantle Liberian Grace Fanbhulleh via unanimous decision (5-0) to make the round of 16 of the qualifying.

Another Nigerian Patricia Mbata will square up with Brazil’s Viviane Pereira in the women’s 50kg round of 16 on Saturday.

Qualification for the semi-finals will earn the remaining Nigerian pugilists slots in the women’s  2024 Olympic Boxing Tournament in Paris, France.
