ATBU graduates 118 with First Class

Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University (ATBU) Bauchi, said it has graduated a total of 118 students with First Class in the last three years. Vice Chancellor of the university, Professor Saminu Abdulrahman Ibrahim disclosed this at a press conference preparatory to the institution’s 23rd, 24th and 25th joint convocation ceremonies scheduled to take place tomorrow.
He noted that of the 118 graduands with the First Class, five of them obtained five points in their Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA).
According to him, 8,496 graduates would be officially convoked tomorrow, adding that the convocation lecture which would be delivered by the Group Managing Director (GMD) of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Dr Maikanti Baru would hold today. He said President Muhammadu Buhari, Bauchi State Governor Mohammed Abubakar Minister of Education Adamu Adamu, Executive Secretaries of National University Commission (NUC), Tertiary Education Trust fund (TETfund), National Assembly leadership and other dignitaries, were expected to grace the occasion.
