Aspirant pledges to tap into Kogi West’s advantage for development,

Kogi West senatorial district aspirant, Dr William Toyin Akanle has declared that he would make the constituency a consortium by tapping into its areas of comparative advantage in order to bring development to the people.
Akanle said this while addressing the crowd of supporters who accompanied him yesterday from the state to the headquarters of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Abuja to submit his nomination form.
He promised to liaise with other senators to make efficient representation for his people as well as laws that will engender development.
He stated that the presence of the people of Kogi West at the party secretariat has given him additional impetus to continue with the battle to be at the red chambers.
“You presence here has given me more joy to relax and fight your battle to be at the red chamber.
I know that I cannot get there without the good people of Kogi West.
“I must say it to you, categorically so, that when I get to the Senate, the situation if Kogi West will change .
Because you have honoured me by following me here, everything I will do in the Senate will honour God and will honour Kogi West.
“For a very long time the type of people that have been representing us have not been the ones that bring honour to Kogi West.
Many of them have promised but they have not redeemed their promises and they want to come again.” He urged the people not to allow them to return stressing that this is the time for the Kogi West indigenes to move forward.
“This is the time for us to move forward; we have stagnated for too long.
We have remained at the same spot for 12 years, we have to move forward and forward shall we move.
“I want to assure you that if I realise this aspiration, everyday that I wake up, everything new that comes into my head, I will do it for the good of Kogi West.
I can assure you.” He promised to collaborate with the professionals and technocrats to bring development to the state stressing that he would start with a reorientation of his people to understand what development is all about.
