CASChief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen Kenneth Minimah, has tasked his men in the Army to be innovative in their fight against insurgency for the Force to succeed.
He said all hands must be on deck in preserving and sustaining the cohesion of the Nigerian Army “as it takes steps to provide the required security” for their dear nation.

The Nigerian Army Chief made the call yesterday at the graduation of 54 army personnel from Warrant Officer Course 24 held at Warrant Officer Academy, Jaji Kaduna.
Minimah, who was represented by the Commander Infantry Corps of the Nigerian Army, Major General Mohammed Abubakar, expressed satisfaction that the 54 graduating Warrant Officers had been trained with a reviewed curriculum designed towards addressing the contemporary challenges.

While reminding the graduates that the Warrant Officers’ Academy was established to rejuvenate the Warrant Officers’ cadre of the army in professional standard where it was observed to be lagging behind, the army chief told them to bring their acquired knowledge to bear in bridging the knowledge gap that exist between the officers and soldiers.

“More so, you must always bear in mind that, the Nigerian Army has no room for any form of indiscipline,” the Chief of Army Staff stated.
Earlier in his welcome address, the Commandant Warrant Officers’ Academy, Brigadier General Martins Abraham, said the students were carefully selected from a total of 127 candidates after a screening exercise involving medical fitness, oral and written tests amongst others.
He noted that the course curriculum was designed to prepare the Warrant Officers for management and leadership responsibility at junior levels in the Nigerian Army and by so doing, enhance their professional competence and career prospects.
