The Arewa Youth Consultative Forum (AYCF) has dismissed allegations made by Hon. Aminu Sani Jaji against the Minister of State for Defence, Bello Matawalle, describing them as baseless and a ploy to divert attention from his own questionable political dealings.
AYCF President-General, Alhaji Yerima Shettima, in a statement, accused Jaji of using his political position to advance personal interests, alleging that his past actions had been riddled with financial impropriety and deception.
“It is essential to highlight that Hon. Aminu Sani Jaji is widely recognised within political circles as a known political scammer. His most notorious venture, the ‘All For Baba’ organisation, was ostensibly established to mobilise support for former President Muhammadu Buhari. However, it became evident that the group was merely a facade for siphoning funds under the guise of political campaigning,” Shettima stated.
He further alleged that Jaji colluded with the former Director-General of the Department of State Services (DSS), Yusuf Bichi, to misappropriate funds meant for political activities, raising concerns about his integrity and motivations.
The AYCF also questioned Jaji’s decision to address the press in Kaduna rather than in his home state of Zamfara, describing it as a calculated move to create division within the All Progressives Congress (APC).
“It is curious that Hon. Jaji chose Kaduna, a city with its own political dynamics and tensions, rather than Gusau. This appears to be a deliberate attempt to stir controversy rather than promote unity within the APC,” Shettima added.
The forum urged the APC leadership to scrutinize Jaji’s actions and ensure accountability among its members.
