Eid-el Fitri: NNPP chieftain Ajadi tasks leaders on masses’ interest 

 

A South West chieftain of the New Nigeria Peoples Party, (NNPP), Ambassador Olufemi Ajadi Oguntoyinbo, on Sunday said it was time for Nigeria leaders to have interest of the masses at heart.

Ajadi in a message to journalists to felicitate with Muslims on this year Eid- el- fitri, urged the leaders to promote programmes and policies that would enhance the living standard of the masses.

He emphasised that the political leaders both at the states and at federal level should always be  good servants to the people who elected them.

Stressing that Nigerians should use the occasion of the end of the fasting to have a rethink and be selfless, he charged Nigerians to pray for their leaders for God to guide them aright.

“I rejoice with all Muslims on the successful completion of this year’s Ramadan. I wish to remind us that Eid-ul-Fitr is more than just a festival. It’s a reminder of Allah’s boundless mercy and the power of love that brings families together”, he said. 

The NNPP chieftain added, “Let us continue in the spirit of sacrifices as we have done during the Ramadan.Sacrifice is the essence of peaceful living.We need to be modest in our celebration and accommodates others that are less privileged in our celebration”.
