APC chieftain urges PTF to account for Covid-19 money

A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr. Garus Gololo, has urged the Presidential Task Force (PTF) on Covid-19 to explain to Nigerians how Covid-19 money released to them was spent.

Speaking with newsmen in Abuja on Friday, Gololo said he supported Femi Falana for taking the PTF to court over the money, and promised to follow him to court “as he is speaking for the masses.”

He noted that President Muhammadu Buhari released over N300 billion for Covid-19 for the benefit of Nigerians, but that the PTF could not account for the money in a transparent way to Nigerians.

Gololo also asked a former vice-president, Atiku Abubakar, not to deceive Nigerians by kicking against the increment on electricity tariff.

According to him, it was during the former vice-president’s administration with Olusegun Obasanjo that NEPA was privatised, even as he alleged that the money was not judiciously used to impact on Nigerians.
