Anyim is an ingrate – Igbo leaders

Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator Anyim Pius Anyim, has incurred the wrath of his kinsmen who described him as an “ingrate.”
They alleged that since his appointment, he had not done anything for the ethnic group which recommended him for appointment into the office he occupies.

A prominent traditional ruler from the South-east who would not want his name in print stated this while speaking with Blueprint in Abuja.
He said Anyim, instead of empowering the people of Igbo land, opted to empower only people from Isiagu, his native town in Ebonyi state, leaving the rest of the Igbo youths in search of jobs unattended to.

“We had to suppress pressures from Obasanjo to ensure that an Igbo candidate of an Igbo blood was appointed,” the Igbo chief lamented.
Also, presidential aides working under the SGF have accused Senator Anyim of allegedly spending “Nicodemously” the sum of N700 million allocations released to the SGF for the Centenary celebration in December 2013.

Some of the aides who complained to Blueprint, said since 2012, they had not received their allowances forcing one of the aides from Benue, Special Assistant on Youth Empowerment who collected loan to go to court against her lender.
Some of the aides have also accused Anyim of surrounding himself with only people from his area and rebuffs attempts to hold meeting with him to discuss some of these anomalies were being rebuffed by SGF.

Blueprint authoritatively gathered that Ferdinand Agu is Senior Special Assistant to the President on Research and Documentation, Sam Nwaobasi is the Special Assistant on Media, Barr. Ebere is the Senior Special Assistant on Legal Services, amongst many others.
It was further gathered that the SGF was threatening Jude Imagwe, Special Assistant to the President on Youth with a sack because he insisted on having a discussion with the SGF on issues affecting the welfare of the aides.

Attempts to reach the SGF or his media aide to comment on some of the allegations proved abortive as none of them could be reached on phone or respond to the text messages sent to them.
