…Another murdered, thrown into well

Police detectives at Dei-Dei have arrested a man who allegedly murdered a neighbour and threw his corpse into a well.
According to a police source, one Ismaila Usman of Shagari Quarters Dei-Dei reported the incident to the Police Station that Bashiru Ali of the same address had killed one Ayo on the same date and threw his corpse into a well.
Our correspondent, who was at site of the crime gathered from Usman that at 10:40pm on that fateful day, there was a blackout, I came out to ease myself, I noticed a man standing holding someone who looks as if he was sleeping by the side of an open well, I stood from afar and watch.
“Immediately the suspect looked around probably he was very sure that there was no one watching him as at the time he threw the corpse into the well, covered it and he hurriedly enter his apartment only God knows what next he will do. I hurriedly went to the Police station, and some teams of Police Detectives followed me back to the compound.”
Continuing, he said: “By the time they got back to the compound the suspect had hurriedly packed his family members and properties into a Peugeot pick-up van with registration number, BDA 66 XA, and was about to escape when he was arrested.
However the Police team visited the scene promptly, and met the lifeless body in the well.
Proper deposition of the corpse was done at the University of Abuja Teaching Hospital (UATH).
When contacted, the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Commissioner of Police (CP), Wilson Inalegwu, said “my men met the lifeless body in the well. He must surely pay for his crime been committed.
“He will be arraigned in court as soon as the investigation is concluded.”
