Chairman, Concerned Youths Forum, Alhaji Shittu Marshal, has called for the support of Governor Badaru Abubakar of Jigawa state for another term in office.
Speaking to newsmen in Kano yesterday, Marshal said “Badaru’s laudable strides in almost all spheres of human endeavours is deserving of a second chance to enable him continue his positive blueprints.”
According to him, the governor has clearly demonstrated a desire to uphold public trust, accountability, probity and honesty in the art of governance, affirming that his war against corruption was a replica of President Muhammadu Buhari’s resolve to nip the monster of corruption in the bud.
“You can only fault him for not agreeing to give room for opportunists to milk the treasury of the state dry. For every contract awarded for the execution of high profile projects, he always ensured that quality,” he added.
According to him, “No politician can ever be respected and earn the unfettered confidence of the electorate without paying attention to the issue of service delivery. As a group, we have scouted all the nooks and crannies of the country and found out that Governor Badaru has exceptional trait.”
He called on the electorate in the state to give him their mandate in 2019 for continuity and service delivery, stressing that his giant strides would be sustained with another second chance.
