Chairman of Anambra State FA, Chikelue Iloenyosi, has commiserated with Tansi College, Okpuno over last weekend’s soccer tragedy that claimed the lives of three students.
Iloenyosi in a letter to the Principal of the college described the ill fated event as unfortunate, even as he added that football stakeholders in the state would continue to pray for the college.
The letter stated in part…”I on behalf of the executive board members of Anambra State Football Association and the entire football stakeholders and enthusiasts wish to condole with you and your school management over the unfortunate incident that took place on Saturday 4th November 2023.
We ask God to accept their souls in heaven and pray for a quick recovery for the hospitalized ones. We will continue to put your school and the entire management in our
prayers.”
It would be noted that students of the college were playing football when lightening struck killing three while others were injured and are now in hospital.
