Alumni association inaugurated, calls for engagements

The Great Independence Hall Alumni Association (GIHAA) was formally inaugurated, reaffirming its commitment to strengthening alumni networks and supporting broader community initiatives.

Dedicated to upholding the distinguished values and traditions of Great Independence Hall, University of Ibadan, GIHAA seeks to create meaningful opportunities for alumni to engage, collaborate, and contribute to the continued advancement of the Hall and the University community.

“Our mission is rooted in the belief that through collective endeavor and mutual commitment, we can achieve a substantial and lasting impact,” said Omotola Ifafore, President of GIHAA.
GIHAA invites all alumni and members of the public to join its initiatives, which include:
Networking Events: Facilitating professional and personal interactions among alumni to encourage mutual growth and mentorship.

Community Outreach: Launching projects that benefit the local community and promote a spirit of social responsibility.
Educational Programmes: Supporting scholarships and educational initiatives to enhance learning opportunities for current students.

For its inaugural philanthropic project, GIHAA is undertaking the procurement and donation of a Public Address System to the student body of Great Independence Hall.

This initiative is aimed at enhancing communication and participation during student events and activities within the hall.
“In concert, we can cultivate a dynamic and supportive community that truly exemplifies the spirit of Great Independence Hall,” Ifafore added.
