Akwa Ibom: FRSC, Army renew collaboration to tackle road accidents 

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) and the Nigerian Army have renewed their commitment to ensuring that road users experience zero road crashes while using the road.

This was made known Thursday during a Study Tour Visit of the Junior Course 1 students of FRSC Command and Staff College, Udi, Enugu state, to the 2 Brigade, Nigerian Army Headquarters, Akwa Ibom state.

Our correspondent reports that the theme for the tour was ‘Cascading National Road Safty to Sub-national Levels.’

Speaking, the commandant, FRSC Command and Staff College, Assistant Corps Marshall Chidibere Nkwonta, commended the 2 Brigade for welcoming the students to their headquarters.

Nkwota praised the Nigerian army for maintaining a healthy partnership with FRSC and also appealed for continuous collaboration to make the state and the country safe for the citizens.

“We are very grateful for this grand reception and I am confident that I can always trust the Nigerian army because anytime they are called upon, they are there for us,” he added.

Responding, the Commander 2 Brigade of the Nigerian Army in Akwa Ibom, Brig. Gen. Abubakar Wase, thanked FRSC for their effort to ensure crash-free roads in the country.
