Again, fisherman killed in reprisal attack in Kaduna community


 

Barely 24 hours after a herder was killed in a reprisal attack in a village in Zango Kataf, corpse of a fisherman was discovered on Monday between Zango Urban and Ungwar Ruhogo.  
A statement by Kaduna state Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Samuel Aruwan, said the fisherman was killed by unknown assailants while fishing in a river, while his corpse was discovered on the river bank and he has been buried. 
“One local person has been killed in Zangon Kataf local government area.

“Troops of Operation Safe Haven (OPSH) have reported a killing between Zangon Urban and Ungwan Ruhogo, Zangon Kataf local government area.

“According to the report, the victim, one Adamu Bala, was killed by unknown persons after he went fishing at the river in the said location on Monday 12th April 2021. His corpse was found on the river bank yesterday, Tuesday 13th April 2021. He has since been buried. 
“Governor Nasir el-Rufai noted the report with sadness, and condoled the family of the deceased, while praying for the repose of his soul. Investigations into the incident are ongoing,” Aruwan added.
